  • • Beijing Experience Beijing with a leisurely stroll along the ‘hutongs’, a visit to the Forbidden City, the Square of Heavenly Peace and the Great Wall of China. «
  • • Lijiang Journey on to rustic Lijiang, home of the Naxi people. Here you’ll be able to rent a bike and explore, or book an optional excursion to the snow-covered Jade Dragon Mountain. «
  • • Pingyao and Xi'an We spend one day and one night in the picturesque city of Pingyao before continuing Xi'an, home to the Terracotta Army which guarded the mausoleum of China’s first emperor, Qin Shihuang. «
  • • Zhongdian and Dali Through wonderfully mountainous scenery, make your way to Zhongdian with a visit to the spectacular Tiger Leaping Gorge en route. Then onto Dali close to Lake Erhai, the colourful Bai people and the Three Pagodas. «
  • • Chengdu Take the night-train to Chengdu and visit the historic Wenshu Monastery, the Giant Panda Breeding Centre and sip a cup of tea in one of the many teahouses. «
  • • Stone Forest and rice terraces Admire the Stone Forest of Kunming, an inspiring geological miracle of tall limestone rock formations before we pass through Guilin and Ping’an on our way to Yangshuo. Immerse yourself in a wonderfully rural way of life with the famous Karst Mountains that seemingly spring vertically from the paddy-fields, the farmers ploughing with buffalo and the fishermen who use trained cormorants to fish. «
