You'll devour the most delicious foods, see traditional dance performances and go searching for orang-utans. You will also enjoy beautiful coastlines, jungles, active volcanoes and rice terraces and with some luck you can see the largest flower in the world, the rafflessia, in full bloom. This most comprehensive journey through Indonesia will remain in your thoughts for a long time after its completion.
Indonesia: Sumatra, Java and Bali
  • • Surprising Sumatra The Batak and Minangkabau peoples of the delightfully green Sumatra each have their own unique culture and architecture. Be open to unexpected encounters! «
  • • Bali Bali, the island of gods and demons, has a beautiful landscape. If you would like something cultural, visit a traditional Barong or Kecak dance. «
  • • Bohorok It is very endearing to see the ex-captive Orangutans, now roaming about freely in the semi-wild jungle. «
  • • Yogyakarta In Yogyakarta find the Kraton (palace), a fine example of traditional Javanese architecture. The city with its bars, restaurants and shops is also most pleasurable. «
  • • Mount Bromo From the craters' rim of Bromo look down inside and you'll see it glowing red and smoking profusely. A spectacular sunrise can also be enjoyed here. «
  • • Sanur beach On the white beach of Sanur, you can learn to surf. Snorkelling, diving or simply relaxing with a tropical cocktail and a good book are also fine options! «
